Tekkan is most probably the least used or talked about of any of the Hojo Undo equipment. Meaning ‘iron rings’, Tekkan are used for strengthening the arms during basic drills and especially Sanchin Kata. The rings are 2kg each and are the same finish as our Kongo Ken. Placed on the forearms the Tekkan can create real pressure and as the user gets stronger they can just add another ring and so on.

Our Tekkan are made from pure steel and powder coated for a hard matt finish, which allows them to be used for literally a lifetime of karate. We stock one weight, Intermediate 2kg.
