Tetsu Sashi (Ishi Sashi - stone padlock) Tetsu Sashi is based on the traditional stone padlock formally used in China and Okinawa and its uses are very similar to modern dumb bells. Being more stable in design the Tetsu Sashi can be used for most of the blocking and striking techniques with the arms and are excellent tools for developing wrist and arm strength while also developing the deltoids, trapezoids and latissimus dorsi. Tetsu Sashi can also be used with the foot to develop the muscles and tendons we use in kicking techniques. Our Tetsu Sashi are made from pure steel and powder coated for a hard matt finish, which allows them to be used for literally a lifetime of karate. We stock three weights, Beginner 4lbs, Intermediate 7lbs and Advanced 10lbs. Special weights can be made by custom order.
